This motivational and hands-on course includes a Canadian Red Cross "A” Level CPR certificate as well as an Emergency First-Aid certificate approved by the Adult Care Licensing Board. Topics covered include emergency scene management, adult CPR, and choking procedure. Other topics include seizures, heart attack, stroke, burns, diabetes, anaphylactic shock, bleeding, broken bones, sprains and strains. Special attention will be given to situations which apply to adult caregivers.

Potential risks and hazards in the work environment will  also be covered. Certification is valid for three years
