Advanced Wilderness First Responder

This 90-hour course combines the Canadian Red Cross Advanced Wilderness & Remote First Aid and First Responder courses to create an in-depth program for those needing a more advanced first aid or working in isolated or wilderness settings.

This course is suited for those in the fields of fire fighting, ground search and rescue, ski patrol, athletic therapy, coast guard and wilderness guides.

Part of the course is taught in an outdoor setting and requires greater physical activity and endurance than typical first aid training. Eighty percent of this course is taught outside.

It is important that students taking this course are prepared for being in the wilderness. Successful candidates will receive an EMA license as a First Responder. Candidates may add OFA Level 2 certification for an additional $50.00.
