Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Business days refer to Monday to Friday and do not include weekends or statutory holidays.

Blended Learning Courses

  • You must complete the online portion before attending the in-person class.
  • If you do not receive your Red Cross online access email within two business days of registering, contact us immediately at info@alertfirstaid.com.
  • You cannot attend the in-person session if the online component is incomplete.
  • No refunds, transfers, or rescheduling will be offered if the online portion is not completed before your in-person date.

Late Blended Course Registration (course starts tomorrow):

If you registered within two business days of the start of your blended course and did not receive your online access link in time, please contact our office before 4:00 p.m. the business day before your class. If we cant send the link in time, you may transfer once to a later course.

Courses Two Days or Less

  • To reschedule, contact us at least two business days before your course. A $25 administration fee applies.
  • To cancel or withdraw, contact us at least two business days before your course. A $40 administration fee applies.
  • If you contact us less than two business days before, your full course fee will be forfeited.

Courses Longer Than Two Days

  • To reschedule, cancel, or withdraw, contact us at least five business days before your course. A $150 administration fee applies.
  • If you contact us less than five business days before your course, your full course fee will be forfeited.
  • You must attend the course in full. If you miss any portion, you will need to transfer to a new course and pay a $150 administration fee.

Re-Exams: Advanced First Aid, First Responder, Marine Advanced First Aid & Emergency Medical Responder

If you do not pass your final exam, you may book a retest to occur within 30 days of your course end date by contacting info@alertfirstaid.com.

Re-exam fees:

  • Written exam: $25 + GST
  • Practical exam: $100 + GST

To reschedule or cancel your re-exam, contact us at least two business days before your scheduled date. If you contact us with less notice, your re-exam fee will be forfeited.
