Transportation Endorsement

Do you want to be certified and become endorsed for transportation of injured workers to medical aid?

In this course, each participant will identify and manage critical interventions of the airway and breathing with C-spine control for conscious patients and patients with a decreased level of consciousness.

Please note that holding a valid OFA1 or equivalent certificate is a prerequesite for this course.

  The procedures should not take longer than 15 minutes from the approach to the patient and will follow the guidelines in the Occupational First Aid Transportation Endorsement Training Manual.

Learning Tasks: Anatomical and neutral position Patient packaging and immobilization for transport as well as the purpose of patient packaging and immobilization for transport, equipment requirements, patient positioning for transport, securing techniques, move a patient from the prone position to the supine position.

Conduct a Primary Survey on an unresponsive patient requiring assisted ventilation, found prone Prepare a patient for transport, apply a hard collar 2. position and secure a patient to a spine board in the supine position 3. position and secure a patient to a spine board in the lateral position.
