OFA Level 1 Equivalent (Blended)

As of June 12, 2020, this Canadian Red Cross Emergency First Aid Blended Learning course is recognized by WorkSafeBC as equivalent to Occupational First Aid Level 1.

Traditionally, the Emergency First Aid course is an 8-hour in-class training course. Blended first aid training is a combination of online training with a practical in-class, face-to-face skill session that provides the best of both hands-on and online training, with reduced in-class time. This course includes CPR Level C.

Online Learning   4 hours
In-Class Teaching Time    4.5 hours

COVID-19 Considerations

We kindly ask anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 including fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat and painful swallowing to stay home and not attend the training session.

Facemasks and gloves will be provided for hands-on skill demonstrations, and class sizes have been reduced.

The online portion of this course can be taken from any computer. It takes approximately 4 hours to complete, and you can start and stop at your convenience. The online portion must be completed before you attend the in-class portion.

Emergency First Aid & CPR C Blended Certification

Canadian Red Cross certificates are now virtual! You will receive a certificate of completion once you've successfully completed the online portion of the course, and a permanent virtual certificate will be emailed to you and will be available to view on your My Red Cross profile. This certificate is valid for 3 years.
