We kindly ask anyone (participants and instructors) with symptoms of COVID-19 including fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat and painful swallowing to stay home and not attend the training session. Instead, please complete the BC COVID-19 Self-Assessment Tool, follow the recommendations given, and rebook your course for a later date.
During your course, wearing a mask that securely covers the nose, mouth, and chin is mandatory. You may bring your own, or one will be provided when you arrive. Thank you for keeping us and your classmates safe.

This recertification course provides the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults, children, and babies. This course includes the latest CPR guidelines and training in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).
If you have a current certificate, you are eligible to take this shorter recertification course. You will need to show proof of current certification in order to be certified.

A virtual manual is included. Hard copy manuals are available for an additional $10.00.
Red Cross certificates are now virtual! You will receive a temporary certificate at the end of your course, and your permanent Canadian Red Cross CPR Level C certificate (valid for 3 years) will be emailed to you after the course has taken place.
If you have a current certificate, you are eligible to take the shorter recertification course. You will need to show proof of current certification to your instructor in order to be certified.
The official Canadian Red Cross First Aid app puts lifesaving advice in your hands. Available for Apple and Android mobile devices, the app helps you maintain your first aid skills and respond to everyday emergencies. By downloading the app on your smartphone or tablet, you get instant access to videos (like the one below), interactive quizzes and simple step-by-step advice to help you maintain your life-saving skills and respond when needed. It is even fully integrated with 911, so you can call EMS from the app at any time.
