This course combines the Basic Life Support, Airway Management and Oxygen Therapy course to prepare future healthcare providers to work as a team in a professional environment.
This course combines the Canadian Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS), Airway Management (AM), and Oxygen Therapy (OT) courses to teach pre-hospital or in-facility responders how to recognize and intervene where patients are suffering from cardiac arrest or respiratory arrest. The BLS curriculum is meant to support the delivery of high-performance, team-based professional resuscitation. This course is industry driven, designed as a robust resuscitation training program geared toward high-quality CPR in a team environment, and recognizes the nuances of multidisciplinatory teams with varied experiences.
This program does not cover basic layperson CPR training - it is specifically for professionals to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies in adults, children, infants, and neonates. Certification matches industry standards - BLS certification is valid for 1 year, while Airway Management and Oxygen Therapy are valid for 3 years.

"Our instructor Jason was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour, which made the course fun and the atmosphere relaxing. I will be back to re-cert and recommend Alert to family and friends."
"I was very pleased to be able to attend and complete the First-Aid and CPR course in a short period of time. The hands on method was a very effective way of learning. Jason was aweome!"
Great course; beats the typical classroom environment. Mike did a great job of keeping the course fun & interesting. Thank you!
Loved the enthusiasm. Great teacher and lots of fun! It was helpful to have a lot of hands-on
Nathan was awesome. I had very little sleep as I have PTSD and have a difficult time learning, especially on 3 hours sleep. But he made it make sense, completely memorable and easy for me.
"It was a great course! I will definitely come back for the Wilderness Remote First-Aid class."
Great course, really appreciate the clear and understandable presentation. Feel very confident in my ability to perform CPR and know what to do.
Best first aid instructor I've had in 20 years of courses!
