We kindly ask anyone (participants and instructors) with symptoms of COVID-19 including fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat and painful swallowing to stay home and not attend the training session. Instead, please complete the BC COVID-19 Self-Assessment Tool, follow the recommendations given, and rebook your course for a later date.
During your course, wearing a mask that securely covers the nose, mouth, and chin is mandatory. You may bring your own, or one will be provided when you arrive. Thank you for keeping us and your classmates safe.

Beginning May 20, 2020, we'll be offering some blended and in-person first-aid courses to small groups in Vancouver, Victoria and Nanaimo.
We kindly ask anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 including fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat and painful swallowing, to stay home and not attend any in-person training session. Instead, anyone with these symptoms should self isolate at home for a minimum of 10 days, and contact our office at info@alertfirstaid.com or 1-866-282-5378 to reschedule.
Blended first aid is a combination of online training with a practical, in-class session. The online portion of the course can be completed from any computer within 90 days of completing the in-class session.
Traditionally, the Standard First Aid course is a 2-day in-class training course. This comprehensive course offers first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirement or who want more knowledge to handle emergencies at home.

This comprehensive 2-day first aid course offers first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to handle emergencies at home. This course is now considered equivalent to WorkSafeBC's OFA Level 1 course.
This basic one-day course offers lifesaving first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace or home. This course is now considered equivalent to WorkSafeBC's OFA Level 1 course.
This short course provides the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults, children, and babies.
This hands on one-day course teaches workers how to deal with the most common occupational first aid emergencies. Upon successful completion, cadidates will be a WorkSafeBC Level 1 First Aid Attendant (OFA Level 1).
This is an intermediate level first aid training and certification course designed for urban first aid attendants. This course is typically needed for larger low-risk workplaces or higher risk workplaces within 20 minutes surface travel time to a hospital.
This is an advanced level first aid training and certification course that will provide you with the training and certification necessary to become a WorkSafeBC OFA Level 3 attendant.
