We are postponing all in-person courses until further notice due to COVID-19. We want to do our part to help slow the spread of this virus, and are unable to carry on in-person first aid or Foodsafe courses while maintaining social distancing. We are looking into alternative delivery methods, and will resume courses as soon as it is safe to do so.
With the healthcare workers putting their lives at risk and the shortage that is sure to come, our incoming masks will now be reserved for health organizations that need them. We are reaching out and working alongside them to ensure they have the protection they need. If this is you, you can see what we have available here – let us know how we can help.

Did you know that Canadians who have taken a course in the past three years are more than twice as likely to feel confident administering CPR?
This basic one-day course teaches lifesaving first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation skills for the workplace or home.
This course is considered equivalent to WorkSafeBC’s Occupational First Aid Level 1, is recognized by the BC Provincial Community Care Facilities Branch, meets Child Care Licensing requirements, and includes the latest first aid and CPR Guidelines.
Just like all first aid courses at Alert First-Aid, our goal is to give you the most enjoyable first aid training experience. All of our regular first aid instructors go through a rigorous training process that far exceeds regular first aid instructor training standards.
Special attention will be given to situations specific to parents & childcare providers.
Emergency First Aid Course Materials
A virtual manual is included. Hard copy manuals are available for an additional $10.00.
Emergency First Aid Certification
Red Cross certificates are now virtual! You will receive a temporary certificate at the end of your course, and your permanent Canadian Red Cross Emergency First Aid & CPR Level C certificate (valid for 3 years) will be emailed to you after the course has taken place.
Emergency First Aid Recertification
If you have a current certificate, you are eligible to take the recertification course. You will need to show proof of current certification to your instructor in order to be certified.
Canadian Red Cross First Aid App
The official Canadian Red Cross First Aid app puts lifesaving advice in your hands. Available for Apple and Android mobile devices, the app helps you maintain your first aid skills and respond to everyday emergencies. By downloading the app on your smartphone or tablet, you get instant access to videos (like the one below), interactive quizzes and simple step-by-step advice to help you maintain your life-saving skills and respond when needed. It is even fully integrated with 911, so you can call EMS from the app at any time.
