Fitness First-Aid and CPR Level A
Just as a good fitness instructor will teach not only the mind but the body, we do the same for with first-aid. Our goal is that you feel entirely confident with any possible fitness related first-aid emergency. This fun and interactive hands-on training course includes an Emergency First-Aid and CPR (Level A) certificate from the Canadian Red Cross.
Our course topics covered include emergency scene management, adult, child CPR, choking procedures and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Other topics include seizures, heart attack, stroke, diabetes, anaphylactic shock, bleeding, broken bones, sprains and strains. Other topics include how to use a first-aid kit and what goes into a first-aid kit, how to use a CPR mask and how to protect yourself at the scene of an accident, what to do at an accident if you do not have gloves and a CPR mask, how to assess the history of an accident, when to and how to call 911 or just go to the hospital.
This course meets the first-aid requirements for the BCPRA, CanFit Pro, CSEP, and ACE. If you have taken this course in the last 3 years you can do a recertification in half the time. You will find Fitness First-Aid course dates on our schedule.
If you are registering for a recertification, you must bring proof of current certification with you to the course. If you do not show proof of current certification, you will not be certified.
Virtual Red Cross Comprehensive First-Aid manual included. Hard copy manuals available for an additional $6.00. When applicable, first-aid course price includes GST.
