1-day WorkSafeBC Transportation Endorsement in Duncan, serving the Cowichan Valley, from a WorkSafeBC-approved training provider. Requires a valid Basic or Intermediate First Aid certificate.
Add the WorkSafeBC Transportation Endorsement to your first aid certificate in Duncan in one 8-hour, hands-on day. This WorkSafeBC certification trains first aid attendants to safely package and move an injured worker to medical aid, as required at many remote or hard-to-reach BC worksites. We're a WorkSafeBC-approved training provider. Our Brae Road classroom is an easy drive from North Cowichan, Chemainus, Cobble Hill, Mill Bay, and Lake Cowichan. You'll leave with your certificate the same day.
Prerequisites
Required: a valid WorkSafeBC Basic First Aid orIntermediate First Aid certificate (formerly OFA Level 1 or 2), or an accepted equivalent. Bring proof to class.

What students should expect
Who needs it? Attendants whose workplace first aid assessment calls for a "(transport)" attendant.
Practise airway care with jaw thrust, pocket mask and oral airway, a primary survey, hard collars, and packaging patients in supine and lateral positions for transport.
Demonstrate all skills to get your wallet certificate that day. It lasts 3 years, but is only valid with a current first aid certificate.
