Renew your Intermediate First Aid & CPR Level C (formerly Standard First Aid) in Nanaimo in one day. This 8-hour, hands-on first aid recertification is for current Standard or Intermediate First Aid holders and is recognized by WorkSafeBC as equivalent to Intermediate First Aid. Our downtown Nanaimo centre has free parking and serves Lantzville, Ladysmith, Parksville, and Qualicum Beach, and leave with a new 3-year Red Cross certificate.
What students should expect
Bring proof of your current Standard or Intermediate First Aid certificate. It must still be valid on your course date.
Expect a faster-paced day of hands-on practice, scenarios, and the latest Red Cross guidelines. Pass the exam and your new 3-year certificate is emailed to you and saved in MyRedCross.

Materials
The Standard First Aid & CPR Level C course includes the following materials:
- Canadian Red Cross First Aid Course & CPR Manual (virtual)
- Canadian Red Cross Comprehensive Guide to First Aid (virtual)
You MUST be currently certified in Standard First Aid to qualify for recertification. IF YOUR CERTIFICATE EXPIRES BEFORE THE COURSE DATE you will need to register for the full Standard First Aid course, and not the shorter recertification.
Be prepared to show proof of certification to the course instructor if you choose a recertification course.
