Nanaimo - Downtown Transportation Endorsement
1-day WorkSafeBC Transportation Endorsement in downtown Nanaimo, from a WorkSafeBC-approved training provider. Requires a valid Basic or Intermediate First Aid certificate.
Add the WorkSafeBC Transportation Endorsement to your first aid certificate in Nanaimo in one 8-hour, hands-on day. This WorkSafeBC certification trains first aid attendants to safely package and move an injured worker to medical aid, as required at many remote or hard-to-reach BC worksites. We're a WorkSafeBC-approved training provider. Our downtown Nanaimo centre has free parking and serves Lantzville, Ladysmith, Parksville, and Qualicum Beach. You'll leave with your certificate the same day.
Prerequisites
Required: a valid WorkSafeBC Basic First Aid orIntermediate First Aid certificate (formerly OFA Level 1 or 2), or an accepted equivalent. Bring proof to class.

What students should expect
Who needs it? Attendants whose workplace first aid assessment calls for a "(transport)" attendant.
Practise airway care with jaw thrust, pocket mask and oral airway, a primary survey, hard collars, and packaging patients in supine and lateral positions for transport.
Demonstrate all skills to get your wallet certificate that day. It lasts 3 years, but is only valid with a current first aid certificate.
