A short Victoria course that prepares healthcare providers to create and maintain a patient airway - often taken with BLS and OT.
The Victoria Canadian Red Cross Airway Management course is designed to give healthcare providers the knowledge and skills necessary to create a patient airway, the interventions to maintain it, and the equipment available to carry out these skills. This course is often taken in conjunction with the Basic Life Support and Oxygen Therapy courses, but can also be taken on it's own.
Participants will gain the knowledge and skills required to provide the appropriate interventions, including measuring and inserting the applicable airway adjunt based on the patient's condition.
We are doing our part to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community. Masks are mandatory for the duration of the course, and you can read our full COVID-19 Safety Plan in our Resources section.
