We kindly ask anyone (participants and instructors) with symptoms of COVID-19 including fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat and painful swallowing to stay home and not attend the training session. During your course, wearing a mask that securely covers the nose, mouth, and chin is mandatory. You may bring your own, or one will be provided when you arrive. Thank you for keeping us and your classmates safe.

First-Aid Instructor Transfer (Option #2)

This course is for Red Cross Water Safety Instructors or educators (elementary or secondary level) who want to become certified as a Red Cross First-Aid Instructor.

Get your Red Cross First-aid instructors certificate in three days! This is a transfer course for those who have a Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certificate or are an educator (elementary or secondary level). Please email or call to find out if you qualify for this course.

This course provides candidates with the knowledge and skills necessary to teach Canadian Red Cross first aid and CPR courses.  The candidates are expected to have finely tuned first aid and CPR technical skills, therefore this course focuses on how to teach and facilitate first aid and CPR skills.

With this certification you would be able to teach the Canadian Red Cross Standard First-Aid, Emergency First-Aid, Marine Basic First-Aid, Babysitting Emergency Childcare First-Aid, AED, CPR HCP, CPR C and CPR A as well as the recertification for all of these courses.

Schedule and Online registration for Victoria BC

In order to complete certification, all instructor candidates must complete teaching experience with a Teaching Experience Supervisor. A teaching experience package is available through Alert First-Aid for an additional $250.

Prior to the start of the course, an online 8 hour Fundamentals of Instruction course must be completed. Login details will be provided after registration.
