Course Description - Standard First Aid Recertification

This Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid & CPR Level C Recertification course is a short, hands-on recertification course for those who already hold a current/valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C certificate. This recertification course provides the skills needed to recognize and respond to everything from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies.

At our core, we believe in hands-on learning, with the majority of the course dedicated to practical first-aid skills and immersive scenarios. Cultivate confidence and muscle memory through realistic practice, ensuring you're well-equipped to lead in emergencies.

If you are not certified in Standard First Aid or your certificate will expire before the course date you are looking for, then you won't qualify for this version of the course. Please look at one of the two following options instead:

Certification

If you have a current and valid Standard First Aid certificate, you are eligible to take this shorter, faster-paced Standard First Aid recertification course. If your certificate expires before the course date you will need to sign up for the full course.

Please be prepared to show proof of certification.

Canadian Red Cross certificates are now virtual! A permanent virtual certificate will be emailed to you after you've successfully completed the entire course. You will also be able to view your manual and certification online at any time through your MyRedCross account. Certification is valid for 3 years.

Emergency First Aid & CPR Manual

The Standard First Aid & CPR Level C course includes the following materials:

  • Canadian Red Cross First Aid Course & CPR Manual (virtual)
  • Canadian Red Cross Comprehensive Guide to First Aid (virtual)

You MUST be currently certified in Standard First Aid to qualify for recertification. IF YOUR CERTIFICATE EXPIRES BEFORE THE COURSE DATE you will need to register for the full Standard First Aid course, and not the shorter recertification.

Be prepared to show proof of certification to the course instructor if you choose a recertification course.
