CPR Level HCP is being phased out by the Canadian Red Cross. Professional pre-hospital or in-facility responders should now take Basic Life Support (BLS)

 

Standard First-Aid Course Vancouver Schedule

This course is intended for Paramedics, Midwives, Athletic Therapists, Nursing in Alberta or any field of work or schooling that specifically requires you to take CPR “HCP”.


If you’re new to CPR or have taken a course within the past 3 years you qualify for the “CPR ‘HCP’ (Health-Care Provider)” course. Course includes: prevention, recognition and treatment of heart attack, angina, and strokes. Candidate will also learn emergency scene management, recognition and treatment for conscious or unconscious choking emergencies, CPR level “C” for adults, children and infants as well as the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).  This course also covers jaw thrust for suspected spinal injuries, use of the Bag-Valve Mask and two person infant CPR.  Canadian Red Cross certification is valid for three years.

If you are registering for a recertification, you must bring proof of current certification with you to the course. If you do not show proof of current certification, you will not be certified.

Virtual Red Cross Comprehensive First-Aid manual included. Hard copy manuals available for an additional $10.00. When applicable, first-aid course price includes GST.

Red Cross First Aid certificates are now virtual! You will receive a temporary certificate at the end of your course, and your certificate will be emailed to you after the course has taken place.

Full Course Length: 4 Hours
Recertification: 4 Hours
